Editorial consultancy

An NCTJ-trained journalist with over 20 years' experience in editorial, copywriting, project management and editorial strategy, I write, edit and provide editorial consultancy for organisations and individuals.

My recent editorial work has included writing features for The Guardian, columns for Radio 4's Open Book, and major editorial strategy projects for Plymouth University, University of the Arts London, and Central Saint Martin's College.

UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH

Project manager responsible for the overhaul of Plymouth University's 14,000 page website, and editorial training. Editor of School of Art, Design and Architecture undergraduate and postgraduate brochures.

WORKSHOP LEADER - WRITERS' BLOCK

I deliver editorial training for businesses through the Cornwall's centre for writing, The Writers' Block.

MANUSCRIPT ASSESSMENT

I have delivered manuscript assessment for several high-profile artists, including nationally-known comedians and editors for national publishers.

ELEMENTUM JOURNAL 

Regular contributor to the journal of nature and story, Elementum. Recent contributions have included the , book reviews, interviews with Philip Marsden and Rob Cowen, and retellings of Celtic and Polynesian legends.

I ​deliver large-scale editorial projects through Falmouth-based copywriting agency, Stranger Collective.

I ​deliver writing workshops across the country, and have taken part in several residencies, working with writers across the country to help them to develop their fiction, creative non-fiction and business writing.
